Conversions you can verify
For length, 1 kilometer gives 1,000 meters. For temperature, 100 degrees Celsius gives 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperature uses an offset as well as a scale, so a single multiplier is not enough.
Check the storage convention
This tool uses 1,024-based storage steps: 1 megabyte converts to 1,024 kilobytes in its storage category. Some products use decimal units based on 1,000. Compare like-for-like definitions before interpreting a difference from a device specification.
Select a category before choosing source and destination units. Swap reverses the conversion direction. Results are rounded for readability; preserve the precision required by your task. For a relative increase or decrease after conversion, use the Percentage Calculator.

Oven temperatures and cups
| US recipe | Exact °C | Metric recipe |
|---|---|---|
| 325 °F | 163 °C | 160–170 °C |
| 350 °F | 177 °C | 180 °C |

| 450 °F | 232 °C | 230 °C |
A US cup is 236.6 ml, while Australia, Canada and many recipe sites use a 250 ml metric cup, and a UK pint (568 ml) is about 20% bigger than a US pint (473 ml). Cups measure volume, so a cup of flour (about 120–130 g) weighs much less than a cup of sugar (about 200 g). More in Metric vs Imperial Cheat Sheet.
